My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JUSTICE and FREEDOM are a bonded pair of young adult brothers looking for a loving forever home.  FREEDOM is a distinctive black and white tuxedo, and JUSTICE is a very large and handsome black panther!  Freedom is the shy one, but he is getting friendlier every day, especially under the influence of his sociable brother Justice who has taught him how wonderful it is to receive pets and loves. These two enjoy bird watching in sunny windows, climbing the cat tower, high places to jump up tocat caves, cat scratchers, and teaser toys.  They like to play-wrestle with each other, and Freedom can hold his own with his larger brother.  They are respectful of their foster mom’s houseplants.  These boys are scared of loud noises, loud human talking, and loud TV.  They can both be shy and nervous with new people.  They are intelligent and energetic, but also enjoy long naps.  Freedom and Justice will thrive in a calm, quiet environment, and given time to acclimate, they will make wonderful and entertaining companions.

They have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, are negative for FeLV and FIV, and include a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet JUSTICE and his brother FREEDOM in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $280 adoption fee for the pair allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
