My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oscar is a 15 lb. gentle giant. He came into the shelter from a very stressful, confined hoarding situation. He was bonded to other cats who were adopted and he was left behind looking for a home of his own. He would love to be in a home with other cats and despite his FIV+ status, he is a lover not a fighter and there is low risk (we cannot say no risk) of transmission to other cats. In fact, Oscar is living in a foster home with other male and female cats (and a foster dog) and is very social and easy going with all of them. To humans, Oscar is incredibly sweet and loves head pets when he feels comfortable and especially when other cats are around. When he's comfortable enough, he will even show you his belly! He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, he just hides and prefers small spaces when he is scared and takes time to warm up. He really comes to life when another cat is around and that is when he shows his loving nature to humans. Oscar would do best in a quiet home with someone who can offer him time and patience to experience what human love is all about.
