My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Splash, a young, recently neutered male dog with a heart as big as his howl! Splash was found wandering the grounds of Northwestern State University, emaciated but full of spirit. Despite his rough start, he's one of the sweetest boys you'll ever meet. Splash loves walking on a leash, greeting every person and dog he encounters with wagging enthusiasm. He never meets a stranger - whether they have two legs or four!

Now that Splash is neutered, we're excited to introduce him to some playmates, as he hadn't been able to have them before. With his playful energy, we know he'll be thrilled to make new friends. You'll always know when Splash is around because this vocal pup loves to make his presence known, especially when the train rolls by - his hound dog roots shine through as he howls along until it passes.

If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion with a lot of personality, Splash could be the perfect fit for your family. Come meet this sweet boy and let him splash some joy into your life!

More about this rescue

FAUNA is the newly combined animal rescue organization serving Natchitoches Parish. Members of Natchitoches Humane Society and Natchitoches Hope for Paws have voted to join efforts and work together alongside parish and city officials to help Natchitoches become a low/no-kill community.

Our mission is to provide and promote humane treatment for homeless and neglected animals in need, working together with the community to find them caring homes. Striving to be a low-kill community, we will provide programs and services to create a society of responsible pet owners. As animal advocates we will be a voice for those creatures who cannot speak for themselves.
