Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I am a teacher's pet.I've got the whole package---smart, fuzzy, four legs, love to learn and live to please. Go ahead, teach me anything. Sit, stay, balance your checkbook, I can do it all. Keep me entertained and I'll be yours for ever.
This dog has special needs - they are heartworm positive. Dogs with heartworm disease can live happy, high quality lives as long as they are given appropriate care. We think that our heartworm dogs have just as much to offer their new adopters as any other dog and they deserve a chance at life! Heartworm disease is relatively common in the United States, so we are in need of caring adopters like YOU that are willing to open their home to a dog with heartworm disease. You are truly saving a life by adopting a heartworm positive dog!
Ask staff about the Stormie Rain Heartworm Fund and what assistance may be available for heartworm treatment expenses.ADOPTION PROCESS: The adoption process is simple and straight forward.
Our receptionists can usually approve/dis-approve your application same day. Once approved and everyone is in agreeance with the decision being made you then are able to pay your adoption fees. Adoption contract will be signed. If the pet has not been spayed/neutered or current on rabies vaccination prior to adoption, the pet you wish to adopt will not be able to go home same day as it's adoption day. We will schedule the next available appointment day & time - you will be informed with further directions/instructions at that time.
We hope this answers any and all questions you may have regarding the adoption process.
