Meet Ruby, who comes to us from the community. Ruby is a 5 and a 1/2-year-old Pit Bull who like her name, really is a gem. She had a rough start in life, living most of her days confined in a crate. She came to us scared, unsocialized, with a very bad coat and skin. This girl was in need of major TLC. Ruby is such a happy girl now and is ready to go to her forever home. She walks well on a leash, rides well in a car, loves to play with her toys, and she will literally jump in your lap for cuddles. She would be better in a home with no cats and does tend to be dog selective. We were overjoyed when Ruby recently got adopted but sadly after a few weeks, she was returned to us due to no fault of her own. The adopters had a life changing event and no longer had the ability to provide her with a stable home environment. The adopters had this to say about her: Ruby is affectionate, housebroken, respectful of their personal belongings, and loved being part of their everyday lives. They also said that she loved meeting new people. Ruby is living back in boarding, and it's been a total of over 1 year since she's lived there. She would love to be given a third chance in life to show you how much love this girl has in her heart. If you have a place for her in your home and life to either foster or adopt, please reach out to us for an application.
