My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet and petite, 2 year old little girl will steal your heart. She was the second cat that I took along with Freddy from her home due to her injuries. Lilly was rescued from a situation in Orwell where their owner is a senior citizen and wasn't able to care for or feed her pets anymore.

I took her that day because her left front leg was at least twice the size of her other leg due to an infected bite wound. I can only imagine the amount of pain she had to be in.

Lilly and her friend Freddy were the best patients I could have asked for. It took a lot of time, meds and love but Miss Lilly has fully recovered and is now ready for her forever home.

Lily is listed as "special needs" only because she can sound congested. We have had her on different antibiotics and it appears that this might just be how she is going to be.

Lily has a beautiful and "loud" voice when she purrs. It is so surprising the first time you hear it because she is so tiny, lol.

Lily has been spayed, vaccinated and has tested negative for leukemia/FIV. To meet Lilly, Kathy Deptola Animal Rescue 440 862 0610 kdanimalrescue@gmail.com

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Each potential adopter is questioned regarding their past and current pet history. Understanding what you are looking for in matching up one of my current adoptees, helps to ensure a successful lifelong relationship.

Because I promote companion animals, all pets are required to be indoor pets only. A reasonable adoption donation is asked for every pet adoption. The fee for cats is $70.

All adopters are required to sign an adoption contract agreeing to the conditions of this rescue.

Go meet their pets

After potential adopters have been approved, I will schedule a time where you can either come to my home to meet pets I have available for adoption, or I can bring whoever you are interested in to your home for a meeting.

More about this rescue

Mission Statement... "To supply a temporary foster home for abused, abandoned, sick and injured animals, that will provide for both their medical and emotional needs, until a permanent loving indoor home is found".

Kathy Deptola Animal Rescue began animal rescue work with a local animal shelter about 25 years ago. Because I truly do believe in giving every animal a chance at life, I now foster and do animal placement out of my home.

Each and every animal that enters my home is given any medical care, rehabilitation and socialization that it needs. Never is an animal in my foster care destroyed because "no one wanted them", or because "their time ran out".

Patience and a lot of love are the keys to finding the right homes. Often times many of these animals have had a bad experience and need to be given guidance, love and reassurance.

Every pet is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, wormed, and blood tested...(Leukemia/FIV for cats), (Heartworm for dogs) prior to adoption.
