My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zarbia is the sweetest, 1 year old girl you could ever want. She loves all people, other dogs and cuddles. She`ll melt your heart on a daily basis. She`s got good playful energy, but will calm down quickly.

She`ll do best with a good routine. She has occasional accidents, but that`s where the good routine will help. She`s good around people (tentative at first but warms up) and other dogs. She hasn`t been cat tested, but we`d be surprised if that was an issue. She`d do well in a house with other dogs or as a solo fur babies and really likes kids as well!

She`s simply a joy to have around and will make a wonder addition to a family for years to come.

We have many wonderful pets waiting to be adopted! Adoption fees are $85 for dogs and $65 for cats (Dogs over 5 years old, $40). The adoption fee to persons over 55 years old is $40. Adoptions includes spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, heartworm test, fecal test, and Feline Leukemia/FIV test for cats.

Managed by LifeLine Animal Project, DeKalb County Animal Services provides a humane environment for DeKalb County’s homeless pets. We also provide other services such as veterinary care for our animals including spay/neuter surgeries, pet adoptions, pet reclaims, volunteer programs, foster home programs, rescue group coordination, and other lifesaving programs.
