Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Apollo was entrusted to our care on August 21st through our Final Wish Program after his mom's health declined, and she could no longer take care of him. They were inseparable companions since he was a puppy. Apollo is 10 years old and weighs 18.5 lbs.
The daughter of Apollo's mom shared:
"Apollo and my mom have a very close bond. He has always been a "mama's boy" and is quick the cuddle with her when she is having a bad day. The bad days have been more frequent lately, and he is usually always there by her side, licking and cuddling with her. This decision to rehome him has not been made lightly, and it has been incredibly hard on my mom."
A few days after his arrival, Apollo left on a Frosted Fling. Being in a loving home seemed to help Apollo decompress and bring him comfort. His Fling Mom reports that he did great in their busy household alongside four other dogs and two young children. What a good boy!
She shares: "Apollo is a loving boy who bonds to his person and just wants to be close to you. He enjoyed our dogs and started to engage in small bouts of play. He would like a family that includes him and allows him to sleep in their bed. He jumps into the car and rides well. He is gentle and loving when he feels safe and I think he will flourish once he settles into his new environment."
Apollo is currently on a second Fling while he waits for a forever home and is again earning rave reviews. His Fling Family reports: "Apollo is really the sweetest most loving dog. He is doing amazing with my kids, my dog, on the leash, in the car, sleeping, & eating. He is a companion dog who always greets with a tail wag."
