My story

Spencer is a young black labrador cross, although he looks mostly lab . Spencer is a really beautiful, fun dog! He absolutely loves water and is a pretty decent retriever . Spence can sit ,stay , lie down on command , rollover , shake with both paws and is very good on the leash . He is incredibly respectful of other dogs and pays no attention to cats . He simply loves to please and play . He came to me in late June with an abundant amount of energy and a bit of an attitude . Annd has since found a very nice spot in our family along with the other animals we have .
Spencer was given up because he loves food ... too much . He ate... rather gulped and guarded his food . In the time that we have had him Spencer has made temendous progress allowing to be gently touched and near during feeding .There are some tools and techniques that assist tremendously. With the right person, someone with some who understands dogs and this particular issue , Spencer would be a wonderful companion . The great thing is that being so motivated by food he is easily the quickest learner i have had the pleasure of training. He will do most anything for a treat . An active family would be idea. Spencer , like most labs would love to romp and show you how much fun he could be. He wants to be by your side but is respectful of your space . With the right placement, young Mr. Spencer would work out just fine. So if you have time , love to be outdoors , perhaps a hunter, you may want to consider this wonderful lab cross.In a short time he has earned a special spot among all the dogs i have fostered . He deserves a special home .
