My story

Titan is available through our `Adopt From a Foster Home` program. Please email adopt@calgaryhumane.ca if you are interested in scheduling a meeting. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as Titan is not available to meet on site.

**Titan is a Patient Paw, please ask about their reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!**

Age: 1 year old
Weight: 30 kg / 66.1lbs

A bit about Titan:
- cats okay; multiple, slow, supervised intros recommended
- kids okay; all interactions should be supervised
- dogs okay pending successful intro
- history of resource guarding around food dish
- potential for separation related stress

Titan is an excitable, high-energy boy looking for an active and engaged home. Hiking, jogging, camping or swimming – he’s ready to be your adventure partner and exercise buddy! Titan will thrive in a structured home that can provide him with regular physical activity, as well as mental enrichment like puzzle feeders, scent work, and daily training! In Titan’s previous home he happily lived with both adults and school age children, as well as dog and cat friends! Although a very social guy, Titan hasn’t yet learned how to greet his friends politely, and can easily become overexcited including trying to knock people over or initiating uninvited games of tug! Titan would love a dog experienced family to help him work on polite greetings, and maybe another dog buddy that can model good behaviour! In Titan’s previous home he was used to having people around, and he’s not too fond of being alone! A family that can bring Titan to work, or limit absences as he adjusts, would be exactly what he’s looking for! After a long day of exploring, even the most energetic good boys like to relax. Titan enjoys his cuddles and after some gentle scratches, he’ll happily fall asleep under your desk. (Or sometimes ON it!) Titan is available through our adopt from a foster home program! If you’re ready to fall in love with him, send us an email and we’ll connect you with his foster family and the adoptions team to learn more!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
