My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 1 year old
Weight: 30 kg / 66.1lbs

A bit about Titan:
- cats okay; multiple, slow, supervised intros recommended
- kids okay; all interactions should be supervised
- dogs okay pending successful intro
- history of resource guarding around food dish

Titan is an excitable, high energy boy looking for an active and engaged home. Titan enjoys his walks, tug of war, and independent play with toys. He'd thrive in an physically active household with humans who want to get him involved with things to do. Mental enrichment such as puzzle feeders, scent work, and daily training will be important to help prevent boredom and frustration. Titan has successfully lived with dog and cat friends, as well as school age children. However, because he can get overexcited when greeting friends, he may not do well with timid or asocial animals or children with limited experience with large dogs. This handsome boy eagerly awaits you!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
