Sparty is as strong as a spartan and doesn't realize his weight. He thinks he's a lap dog and we haven't told him otherwise yet. He gets along with other dogs and loves toys! If you want a snuggle bug or a exercise buddy, then Sparty will be whatever you want him to be. He vaccinated and ready to meet his new forever family.
The shelter can be reached at 937-498-7201 to schedule a time to meet. Or please feel free to come in during business hours. The shelter is open Monday-Friday 9-5 and Saturday 9-12. The Shelby County Animal Shelter is a County office designed to serve the residents of Shelby County. They answer calls for stray dogs, complaints of dogs running at large, animal kills by dogs and coyotes, pick up stray dogs, answer humane complaints and reports of loose dogs.

The SCAS is open to people looking for a pet, looking for a missing pet, and those who just want to look at the animals. They accept dogs and cats from owners as well as strays, however a fee may be involved. They offer dogs, puppies, cats and kittens for adoption.
