Captain just wants to be part of your family. His owner kept him outside and when they were to be gone for an extended period of time, Captain arrived at the shelter on 8/20. He is 2 years old and weighs in at 75 pounds. He is a big teddy bear with lots of love to give. He will sit like a gentleman for his treats. Because he has always been outside, he is not house trained and he is heart worm positive. Does your heart hurt for Captain like ours does? Would you give him a chance at happily ever after? Ask for ID# 661253 Run 831. He will be neutered soon and micro-chipped upon adoption. Unfortunately, Captain tested positive for heartworms but he has completed his treatment at the shelter. Dogs who are treated for heartworms usually go on to live long and healthy lives.

Cobb County Animal Services was established in 1971. As part of Cobb's Department of Public Safety, we serve the entire county, protecting the residents and animals of Cobb.
The mission of the Cobb County Animal Services Unit is to enforce state laws and county ordinances pertaining to animal control and management; educate the community on responsible pet ownership and wildlife care and provide housing and care for homeless animals, while coordinating their adoptions when possible and humane euthanization when adoptions are not possible.
