Meet Melinda!

Have you ever wanted a teensy purse pup?! Melinda is ready to travel first class, right by your side, and experience all the fun adventures life has to offer! She is small enough to take everywhere and is the best companion anyone could ever want. Melinda is a cute little 10-year-old Chihuahua and weighs in at just 3.5 lbs! Even though she's technically a senior she has the pep and spunk of a pup half her age! Her personality is larger than life! Melinda is a loving little companion who thrives on being carried around, cuddling, and burrowing under cozy blankets. She loves going for little walks and prances everywhere she goes! Melinda is leash and potty trained, and she does great with other dogs. She hasn’t been exposed to young children or cats yet, but with a proper introduction, she should do just fine. Melinda is spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped—ready for her forever home! Interview

We will call if we feel you are a fit for one of our adoptable pets. Once confirmed, we will set up a meet and greet with the pet.

3.
Home Check

We will visit your home to see the environment where the dog will live and answer your questions.

Additional adoption info

Additional Information:

If applicable, we'll call your veterinarian to ensure that previous pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and well cared for.

For renters, we'll check with your landlord to ensure that dogs are permitted and that the dog that you're adopting wouldn't violate any size or breed restrictions.

Adoption fees are generally between $300-$450 depending on which pup you are adopting.

Leashes of Love Rescue is an organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, primarily dogs from local high-kill shelters in Southern California and owners who can no longer care for them. Our goal is not only to place dogs in well-matched, carefully screened forever homes, but also to educate dog owners about responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.
