My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here she is, Miss Daisy! She was found abandoned at a local apartment complex. She was scared, confused, hungry and thirsty. Helotes Humane Society brought her their rescue. At the rescue, she was given food and a health exam. She was found to be heartworm negative, given all required shots and a bedroom. The bedroom was really a kennel along with some other rescued dogs. She did not like the kennel and voiced her disapproval. She was brought to a private (foster) home where she has been able to show her potential. She loves to be around her people and has bonded with her foster dad. They like to watch TV, together, in the recliner. She is getting along great with her foster pack of 6 other dogs, both large and small. She is not a finicky eater and eats on schedule. She is eager to go to her kennel at bed time and likes a little treat at that time. She will retreat, at times, to her kennel when she feel like it, but is usually in the middle of the family activity. She is house trained and has never had an accident. She likes her toys but has a short attention span and will often take the toy outside, where she forgets about them. She gives kisses upon request and takes treats like the lady she is. She rides well in the car. She follows her foster dad around while he does chores but will take a siesta break when she gets bored. Daisy is ready for adoption, preferring a family with a yard for zoomies and squirrel exploration. An apartment probably would not be a good choice. Daisy would love to meet you and if you think you might hit it off, fill out an online application to arrange a meeting.
