Say hello to Sydney! She is a 6-year-old, 6 lb terrier mix who was found exhausted from excessive heat and abandoned at a shelter in CA. She has come to the PNW in search of a better life.

Sydney has just experienced a big life change and she understandably comes off as shy and scared when meeting new friends. Once you have her trust, Sydney would love nothing more than to sit in your lap for some relaxing snuggles.

Sydney would love some help with learning to walk on a leash. She is nervous on a leash and will need some training and patience to get her walking confidently.

Sydney does well with other dogs and they give her some confidence, but she would also love to be your one and only dog soaking up all of the love and attention. Sydney is very excited to find a patient family who will give her loads of love. Due to her shyness, we are recommending an adult only home for her.

Sydney is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $450.

Interested in adopting one of our rescue dogs? Here are the steps to a successful adoption:

1) Review the dog's picture and bio;

2) Fill out an Adoption Application

3) We will screen your application* and call you to tell you more about the dog,

4) A Meet and Greet will be set up. All members of your household (dogs and humans) must attend the meet and greet;

5) If you are approved for adoption, pay the adoption fee, sign the adoption contract and receive the dog's health records;

6) Love and adore your new dog!

Our organization - Forever Home Dog Rescue - values your privacy. Any and all application information is private and will not be shared outside of our organization with ANY other party. After a decision is made on a dog, all applicant and adopter personal information will be disposed of by shredding. We do not retain any application information past adoption in an effort to preserve the security and privacy of applicants. Vaccination, microchip and medical records of adopted and current dogs can be accessed under the dogs name and month of adoption.

More about this rescue

Forever Home Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We receive dogs from owner surrenders and overcrowded shelters. All of the dogs are housed in private, loving foster homes or a kennel in the greater Seattle area. We assess their behaviors and health and help them relax during their transition to a forever home. The dogs remain in foster care or in our kenneling facility until they are adopted. All of the dogs are/or will be spayed or neutered, microchipped and are current on routine vaccinations.

Forever home dog rescue is not a shelter and thus you cannot see the dogs without an appointment.

We need foster homes! Thinking about adopting a dog, but not sure yet about which breed or if you're ready for the long-term commitment? Consider becoming a foster parent. A foster dog placement can be anywhere from two weeks to several months. We provide any dog supplies you may need and cover all necessary medical costs for your foster dog. You provide the love and attention and bring the dogs to adoption events at least twice per month.
