My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE A HOME VISIT, YOU MUST LIVE NEAR BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES**

Meet Bae Bae, the Sweet Chocolate Nugget of Love

Ready to Welcome a Lifetime of Cuddles and Joy?

Allow me to introduce you to Bae Bae, a 7-year-old bundle of affection wrapped up in a delightful 12-pound package. This little chocolate-gray nugget is as sweet as her name suggests and is ready to find her forever home where she can share her love and companionship.

Bae Bae might be a bit on the chunky side, but she’s embracing a healthy lifestyle with nutritious food and exercise. She’s on her way to being fit and looking forward to continuing her journey with a loving family who can support her in staying healthy.

This affectionate hypoallergenic girl is looking for an adult home where she can truly be cherished. Bae Bae thrives on being close to her people, enjoying those cozy moments as a cherished lap dog. But don’t let her miniature size fool you—she also loves short outings, where she can take in the sights and sounds of the world around her, one small adventure at a time.

Bae Bae has already had her dental cleaning, spay, and her blood work is all good. She also received surgery for her luxating patella, She will be back to playing ball shortly. You can support her fundraiser at https://www.facebook.com/donate/1590766191837124/922049129963370/ Every little bit helps, as we are a small nonprofit that relies entirely on the generosity of our community.

Bae Bae is looking for her dynamic forever home where she can share her cuddles, joy, and her unique little personality. She truly lives up to her namesake, "Bae Bae," meaning your favorite companion and best buddy. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this precious girl, she’s ready to give you a lifetime of love in return.

This dog's adoption fee is $500 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). If you are interested please fill out the adoption application For additional information regarding our adoption process, please check our FAQ's Page

*All dogs in the care of Get a Life Pet Rescue live in loving foster homes while waiting for their perfect match. They don't live in cages or crates (unless there is a medical reason to do so.) They are treated as family pets while in our care. * All dogs in our care are fed premium brand holistic food as well as supplements and vitamins specific to each dog's needs. We don't buy inexpensive bulk dry kibble, our rescues are fed premium wet food diets as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program to ensure maximum health. .*All of our rescues receive complete quality vetting including full dental cleaning with pre-op bloodwork, spay/neuter, vaccines, and grooming. Dogs in need of specialized medicine will be seen by specialists, such as full cardiac workups, and ophthalmologist visits, all suspicious lumps, and bumps are biopsied, and every medical need is transparent to potential adopters. *Once you adopt from Get a Life Pet Rescue, you become part of our compassionate family and we are here for you if a problem with your precious dog arises.

More about this rescue

Based out of Broward County and serving the Tri-County area, Get-A-Life Pet Rescue volunteers retrieve pets who have been abandoned and provide them with a chance at the life they deserve. Our animals come from a variety of sources, including Animal Services, owner surrenders and as strays.

Get-A- Life Pet Rescue volunteers, including our Board Members, play an active role in finding the animals a safe and happy home. All our pets are given a full veterinary exam. They are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, micro chipped, put on heartworm/flea & tick prevention medication as well as dental & grooming services as needed. Donations are very critical as they assist us in giving each pet full medical treatment, physical and behavioral rehabilitation and the necessities that allow them to thrive in their "forever home". Because Get-A-Life Pet Rescue doesn’t have a facility to house the pets as they are rescued, each pet is matched with an appropriate foster home in the Tri-County area. With individual fostering, we are able to provide interested applicants with details on the pet's personality and provide a needs list to allow the pet a tranquil transition.

Our volunteers promote responsible adoptions and lifelong relationships with the adopter’s new pet. We educate all adopters and provide them with all tools necessary to have a balanced and happy lifelong pet. Our ultimate goal at Get-A-Life Pet Rescue is to increase humane awareness through education, resulting in the humane treatment of animals, and reduction of the over population and abuse problems of today.
