My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lilo!

This is a heart wrenching story.

LILO and Stitch were discovered after being left in a box behind the shed at a vets office. Being out of sight, they had been there in the baking heat without food or water for over two days before they were rescued.

They were in dire straits. The vet, who has decades of experience in animal rescue, said that he had never ever seen so many fleas on a cat! The result of that flea infestation is that both cats have dermatitis, now being treated, and their fur is thin and brittle. They are thin. Good food and TLC will soon take care of that too.

Both cats are gentle and totally non-aggressive. Lilo is recovering well from her ordeal- she is responding positively to being picked up and petted, and has begun to initiate contact with people.

Stitch is still suffering. While he does not fight being picked up, he is clearly still traumatized and his emotional recovery will take more time and patience.

YOU could be part of that recovery. These cats MUST remain together.

They need a quiet home with an adopter who is willing to exercise both patience and kindness as they learn that they are finally safe and loved.

All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.

If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. The application will put you in touch with a HART volunteer.
