Mimzee is a very sweet, dainty little girl. She came from a construction site down in Tucson, AZ where her and her 2 siblings were found emaciated and without a mother (who was crushed by heavy equipment at the construction site). Lucky for Mimzee, news of her plight made it's way through the grapevine to an animal rescue enthusiast in CO and the mission had begun. AZ to CO with the help of some amazing volunteers and members of the community. Upon arrival, Mimzee was in rough shape. She was sick, underweight, frightened, and had a skin infection. With a little medicine, TLC, a lot of food, and some baths - she started thriving. In addition to Mimzee's 2 siblings, she came from AZ with 4 other kittens in distress.
She loves playing with other playful felines and would do best in a home with at least one other playful feline friend for companionship when her people aren't at home. She has been handled by supervised children and is very tolerant and affectionate. She loves to snuggle and it's not uncommon for her foster human to wake up with a living scarf or hat. She hasn't been around dogs much but given she has adapted so well to all the changes life has brought her thus far, it's likely she would come around to a gentle canine sibling. Mimzee's 2 biological siblings - XL and Timothina - will also be up for adoption through ARR.
Physically speaking, Mimzee has the cutest pink little nose with matching toe beans. Her black rimmed eyes are striking and she has the glossiest, smooth coat. She is a bit on the small side so will probably be little petite kitty when full grown - which suits her graceful, princess-like, elegant nature. Mimzee would be elated to enjoy a puddle of sun in a forever home with some siblings after playing a game of cat and mouse.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/
Our adoption process is:
1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet.
2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
