My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Dane-Savvy Foster to Adopt Home Needed!

Trooper is all Dane! He loves his humans and has so much fun galloping around his yard and hanging out with his Chihuahua mix foster brother!

This sweet boy still needs some medical care, so needs a foster-to-adopt home where he can recover after his upcoming surgery. Once he is neutered, he will be ready for life as a loved family member and ready to snuggle, snooze, and explore with his forever family.

Trooper needs a Dane-savvy family who is willing to continue his training (SVPP can help with initial training) and understands the Great Dane personality. Trooper is fully housetrained, sleeps great on his comfy bed, and rides beautifully in the car. He is still learning how to play with toys, but LOVES to play with water.

Are you a Great Dane Family? Trooper would love to meet you!

Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.

Additional adoption info

Are you interested in meeting one of our available animals? Please fill out the appropriate online application on our website. We will be in contact with you to arrange a meeting with the rescue pet you are interested in.

Please note that all of our rescue pets are in private foster homes and meetings will be coordinated with foster parents. Typically, after you meet the rescue pet, we will follow up with you to see how the meeting went. If a match is made, we can finalize the adoption quickly. Please note that we may require a home check as part of the application process. Thank you for your interest in our rescue pets!

Adoption fees are between $100 - $400 depending on animal, breed, age.

Go meet their pets

We operate Pup Plaza (www.pupplaza.org), Silicon Valley's first dog community center where we have monthly adoption events. If you are interested in meeting one of our adoptable dogs at Pup Plaza, please contact adoptions@svpetproject.org.

Cats and dogs are in foster care with volunteers. After completing an application, a meet and greet can be arranged.
