Monica is an absolute sweetheart with a gentle soul. While she might be a bit shy at first, once she warms up, you'll see just how affectionate and loving she is. Sensitive by nature, Monica responds best to kindness and gentle guidance-she's so well-behaved that she hardly ever needs correction. She's cautious but never aggressive, and she loves spending hours playing with the other dogs in the home or relaxing in the shade.
Monica has a quirky habit of barking at dogs on the TV, which is both amusing and endearing. Overall, she's a laid-back, easygoing 4 year old Doberman mix who would thrive in a calm and loving environment.
Monica has successfully completed heartworm treatment, though it was discovered during her care that she has an enlarged heart, likely due to the heartworms. This is something that will need to be monitored throughout her life, but it doesn't slow her down from being the sweet, gentle girl she is.
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
