Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ashley is weet, affectionate, and loving!
Unless you are a cat. Do not apply to adopt Ashley if you are a cat.
Not only is Ashley affectionate and friendly, but she also loves to hike, jog, swim, explore, and participate in dog park activities.
Ashley is beautiful in person. She is a healthy, happy girl who is ready to find her Forever Family.
The family we would like for Ashley to have, is one who will welcome her into their home as a true family member. She thrives on pets and snuggles and benefits from being able to spend time with her people. We are not sure that she qualifies as a Velcro Dog, but she prefers to be a part of things, as opposed to being independent or aloof.
Ashley may benefit from joining a household with another dog. We have seen her interact with puppies, small dogs and large dogs, and she was curious, but happy to make new canine friends out on the trails and at the local dog park.
Whether as a packmate or an only dog, Ashley would benefit from a family who provides her with a consistent opportunity to stretch her legs. She has a medium energy level due to her bouts of energy being balanced by peaceful periods of rest.

Ashley moved to the Pacific Northwest from Jalisco, Mexico in December 2023.
This sweet girl was so loveable, that locals took it upon themselves to get in touch with a rescue agency who took her in and nursed her back to health. She was severely underweight, but maintained her quiet, gentle demeanor throughout her recovery.
Since being transported to the PNW, Ashley has continued to thrive happily.
She lived with foster moms and multple other foster/resident dogs, but the cuddling and love she deserved was hard to come by, due to the number of other animals in the home.
Ashley was adopted by a very kind, loving owner who is unable to provide her with a home through no fault of hers. We’re heartbroken that they’re unable to stay together, but we’re treating this as an opportunity to create a better future for both the owner and Ash.
