13 pounds Full grown!! Yes, you read that correctly! MEET MUDGE! His little nub was cleaned, checked and wrapped and he got all of his vaccines and fecal testing done. Doctor confirmed he should be full grown at his current size. He’s a young adult, between 9mos to 1.5 years of age on the high age estimate. Weighing in at only 13 pounds (a little on the thin side right now so would likely be 16-17 lbs at healthy body weight). Sadly his body score condition was extremely low during his first exam / doctors appointment. So we’re working hard to change that to give this deserving dog the opportunity at an incredible new life! He loves all other sized dogs and loves to play with them! He likes to use the pet stairs to crawl up onto the human bed for snuggles. Mudge the tripod is eagerly awaiting his loving forever home. He is neutered, microchipped with AKC and has his AirTag on for safety. He is not special needs other than putting on and taking off his nub protector. We ordered him a custom nub protector for him to wear when he's romping around with other dogs; but not to be worn for sleeping. Everyone that meets this pup loves him. Hes deceiving since he looks like a German shepherd but hes tiny, 13 pounds full grown. Our best guess is a Pomeranian mix (Pomsky? PomTerrier?) No one knows but DNA would sure be interesting to find out!

Frenchie N Friends & Save A Bow Wow is a small dog rescue based out of Southern California. We pull dogs from our local humane societies in Los Angeles & Orange County. We are not an animal shelter and do not have a physical location. We do take in a lot of owner surrendered dogs. Save A Bow Wow & Frenchie N Friends strongly believes in pets being spayed or neutered. Therefore, we offer financial assistance and/or referrals to low cost spay & neuter clinics. No dog will be adopted from Save A Bow Wow & Frenchie N Friends before he/she has been altered.
As we are a 100% volunteer organization, if you wish to join our team, please let us know! We are dedicated to rescuing, caring for and placing homeless dogs in a forever home
All dogs we adopt out require an adoption donation. This donation includes spay or neuter, vaccinations, collar, ID tag & a microchip. We have each of our dogs in to the vet prior to completing an adoption. If additional services were needed, we took care of it!... (Such as grooming, applying flea preventative, deworming etc.)
