Bruno is a 6 month old Doberman Pinscher/Mix. He was brought to our shelter by a good samaritan during the heat of summer after she noticed this young boy was injured on the side of the road near her house. She promptly recognized that something was wrong, as he yelped out in pain when she went to pick him up. While it is still unknown what may have caused his injuries, Bruno has seemingly made a full recovery and waits patiently for his forever home. It has now been three months since his arrival to our shelter, and this boy wants OUT! He`s known for his friendly demeanor and his goofy antics that never fail to bring laughter to everyone around him. Bruno is a playful spirit, full of energy, always ready to chase a ball or embark on a new adventure. He loves people and thrives on the joy he brings to others. His funny personality can brighten even the dullest of days. Bruno is more than just a shelter pet, he`s a friend, a confidant, a source of endless fun and love. HSSM is home to over 300 pets on any given day, most of which are looking for new forever homes! Your new best friend could be waiting at HSSM right now. Our beautiful, 41,000 square foot facility is currently open to the public. HSSM is open for adoptions Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary to adopt, however, adoptions are first-come, first served. You must come to HSSM to complete your adoption and make sure you bring a photo ID, as it is required to complete adoption paperwork.
Our adoptable animals page is self-updating and displays ALL of HSSM’s adorable adoptable pets from “pocket pets” to birds and of course the hundreds of dogs and cats currently calling HSSM home! See one you like? Make sure you note your favorite’s name and animal ID number so that HSSM staff and volunteers can easily find him/her when you come in!
Adoptions are cut off every day about 30 minutes prior to closing and possibly earlier if volume is high. Weekends are busy and you may have to wait more than an hour (especially in the afternoons) so please be prepared.
