Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT ***
Meet Opie! He is currently enrolled in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and he is almost ready to show off his new skills! His new abilities include 'sit', 'down', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent.
Anyone that meets Opie instantly falls in love with him and his goofiness. He is quite the large puppy still. He has learned a lot of manners and tricks though at PACK, and has learned how to calm down immensely. Opie is very intelligent and inquistitive, and will do just about anything for a tasty snack. He likes playing with the other dogs and has enjoyed meeting all his new furry friends at PACK.
When we first met Opie, we coudl see him wanting to chase a cat.. however, when the cat hissed he backed off. He has lived with them, but the previous owner said he wanted to play with them. It will just depend on if the cat wants to reciprocate.
He is potty trained and kennel trained. It is highly reccommended, because we could see Opie being mischievous when left alone. He does know when it is time to "chill" and settle inside. He would snuggle for hours if you let him, and he throughly enjoys belly rubs.
If Opie is left out alone all day, he may be tempted to jump a 4 foot fence, so a taller fence is advised or supervision when he is out there. He will graduate towards the beginning of November, and is looking for that perfect new home. Apply today.
