Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Taz is a sweet and gentle 1-year-old Lab mix with a heart full of love to give! He may be a little timid when you first meet him, but don't let that fool you—once he warms up, Taz is all about fun and companionship. He's a bit shy in new environments and with new people, but with a little patience and kindness, he'll quickly become your most loyal friend.
Favorite Activities:
Walks: Taz absolutely loves going for walks! Whether it's a stroll around the neighborhood or a hike through the park, Taz is always up for some outdoor adventure.
Playtime: Once he’s comfortable, Taz’s playful side really shines. He enjoys chasing after toys, playing fetch, and having fun with his favorite people.
Ideal Home:
Taz would thrive in a calm, patient home where he can continue to build his confidence. He'd do best with a family that enjoys an active lifestyle but also appreciates a relaxed evening in. A secure yard where he can safely explore and play would be a plus. Taz would also benefit from positive reinforcement training to help him continue growing into the amazing dog we know he can be.
Why Taz?
If you’re looking for a dog who will be your devoted companion, ready to join you on all of life's adventures, Taz is the one for you. His journey to confidence is just beginning, and he’d love to take it with you by his side.
If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list.
Ask about adoption transportation assistance if you do not live in the local area.
The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, a bordetella vaccination and are dewormed.
