My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lulu, our sweet Apple Head Chihuahua puppy. This little lady adores curling up in your lap and showering you with kisses. Although Lulu is still discovering the joy of toys, as she didn't come from the best circumstances, she's quickly learning with a bit of patience. She needs time to trust her humans, but once she does, she's incredibly loving and loyal. Lulu's ideal home is a peaceful one, without young children, where she can feel safe. A fenced yard for supervised play and sunbathing would be the cherry on top for this precious pup.

Lulu's adoption fee includes her spay, microchip, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm test (if over 9 months old), and kept up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

If you are interested in Lulu, you may fill out an application at www.tlchs.org or you are welcome to make a Match Making appointment to come out and meet her first. We are open Tuesday - Sunday 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Go meet their pets

We do adoptions on the square in Dahlonega most weekends, attend various local events, have annual fundraisers, and our animals can be seen at the shelter any day from 10:00 - 4:30 (an hour for lunch from 12:00-1:00). Come by and see the new changes at the shelter as well, ask to volunteer, or just introduce yourself and meet the wonderful staff members.

More about this shelter

Established in 1977, TLC is one of the oldest no-kill shelters in North Georgia. Our shelter is on about six acres near the Lumpkin County shelter, and about five miles east of Dahlonega. Our focus is saving as many homeless pets as we can, and preventing the birth of unwanted pets. We have always relied on private donations to care for as many animals as we can.
