She is a puppy. Let's start right there. She has an abundance of puppy energy, puppy activity, puppy jumping, puppy mouthiness, and puppy playfulness.
She also, puppy here, might have some nervousness when it comes to meeting new people. Please remember your extended family and friends are strangers to her or any new dog entering your home.
Tulip will need training. Her vitality and liveliness can lead to jumping and mouthiness. This will need to be channeled into proper behavior. She is trainable but will need a dedicated family to continue this in a home.
Tulip went into a foster home for about a month and with this we were provided lots of good information to pass along.
She was around two young children and was fairly indifferent to the children although she was a shadow to the adults.
Tulip was walked several times a day yet she still had only 5-6 accidents during that month in foster care. New routines, new people, and a new environment are things a new dog has to get used to. Please remember patience.
Tulip was crated during her foster home time and did well in the crate. She did not have any accidents in the crate.
Tulip pulls on the leash in excitement. Again, training and I always like the adage, practice makes perfect!
Tulip was somewhat vocal in the home. Again, training and attention.
Puppy Tulip is looking for a new family who will give her tons of attention, love, training, activity and adventures. If she sounds like she belongs with you, come to VBACAC to meet her! She is currently in a back kennel so if you don't see her, please just ask!
