My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mika, the loving mama to the Designer Fragrance litter pups (Chloe, Coco Chanel, Polo, and Stetson)! Mika is a ~2 year old female chihuahua mix with the cutest underbite, weighing about 16 lbs. She has been a wonderful mama to her babies, but they are now weaned and she will be getting spayed soon. She is ready to put her motherhood days behind her and find a furever home of her own!

Mika is a sweet, loving girl who is good with other dogs, people, and kids. She has not been cat tested, but we feel she would probably be fine with cats.

She is medically up to date (will be spayed prior to adoption), housebroken, and crate trained.

"This girl is so good on a leash. Mika is gentle and she must have had some training. For only being 2 yrs. she tries to anticipate your moves. She has a good bark and only barks when there is reason to bark."

1.
Submit Application

Apply for the dog you are interested in. Or fill out a general application describing what you are looking for in a dog

2.
Home Check

After processing you application, you will be contacted to schedule a virtual home visit.

3.
Approve Application

After your application is processed and your home visit is done, we will let you know if you are approved to adopt!

4.
Meet the Pet

Once you are approved a meeting will be set up for you to meet with the dog you are interested in.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

The last step is finalizing the adoption! Sign their contract, pay the adoption fee, and take your furry friend home!

We match our dogs to the best applicant for each dog! We process applications, preform a home visit, either in person or a video call. We have a discussion with you about what you're looking for in a dog, and we work with our applicants to find the dog that will best fit their home and lifestyle. We want to ensure both our rescue dogs, and adopters are set up for success and are happy!

Paws Rescue League Inc. Rescues the dogs that need saving. We believe ALL dogs deserve love, happiness, and a family. We don't just take in the puppies, or the young fully vetted dogs who are quick to adopt. We take dogs of all ages, all sizes, all breeds and we do our best to find the best family that matches their needs. We work with our adopters to make sure they are supported, and the process is as stress free as possible. We are a 501(c)(3) non profit rescue, that is run by volunteers.
