***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org** Meet Fritz! Fritz is bold, friendly, and playful. Fritz will go right up and investigate head on. He is a playful little kitten who wants to climb all over you until you submit to snuggles. Fritz likes to chase other kittens around and play fight until he can fall into a cuddle pile with anyone who acts friendly. Fritz was born April of 2024. He is microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. If he is adopted before being neutered, he will be on a spay/neuter contract. As always, our cat or kitten adoptions are free will donation for approved applicants.

Additional adoption info

All interested parties must fill out an adoption application and be approved prior to adoption. If a family has currently, or in the recent past had pets then a veterinary reference is required. If not then two personal references are required. Our adoption fees for dogs range from $150-$300. Our adoption fee for cats is free will donation. After an adoption has been approved an adoption contract must be signed.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
