My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Adil!

In March, we partnered with SPCA International to bring Adil to Seattle from Palestine. The conflict in this region is causing much suffering for people and animals alike.

Adil made it safely to us and we are getting to know him better every day. He is around 5 years old and around 60 lbs.

Adil is a sweet boy who is just learning about the world. He was rescued from wandering the streets and then spent some time in a sanctuary in Gaza. He is a sweet and affectionate boy and is learning quickly how to be a loved pet. He is potty trained and well behaved in the home. He has discovered he likes beds and couches! He is a gentle and timid boy, who is so grateful for any love shown to him.

From his foster mom:

Asher (Adil) is between 2-3 years old, a very calm, kind, extremely gentle soul.  He is curious to meet anyone, and although he has fears from his difficult past, and takes a little time to warm -  once he trusts & loves you, he will want to be with you all the time & will be your best friend!  Asher (Adil) is a truly loving boy, who adores to be close & snuggle if & when possible.  He has medium energy, and just loves to hang with his person.  He's super well behaved around the house, and fully potty trained.  He is great with all other dogs, and would absolutely love a doggie friend to help him grow in confidence.  He is excellent on the leash & loves to go for walks & hikes. He loves to meet new dogs, and absolutely loves water too! Asher (Adil) is just under 70lbs in weight, but just a big, soft baby.  He has never experienced toys or balls, so this is all new to him, but treats & bones are a hit!  Asher (Adil) is learning about this new world around him, and his confidence is growing, as he starts to trust that he is indeed safe, for the first time in his life!  He loves car rides & enjoys looking out of the window.  He is an extremely good boy, would love a yard to run around in, and call his own.  A super calm, kind, loyal companion to have around, who loves closeness.  He has a fear of males initially, due to his bad past experiences, which need time & patience, as he grows in his confidence.

He is vaccinated, chipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $395.

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!

To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
