Here's what the humans have to say about me:
While Mini can be very fearful around strangers and shy at first, if given the chance, she will be a wonderful companion. She is a work in progress and continued training will be a must for her success in a new home. We are working on all things with Miss Mini as she came to us with no previous training. She has mastered "sit" and "lay down". We are still learning about Mini day by day. She doesn't show off her true self to just anyone. One thing we do know is that she just wants to please her humans. Once a friendship is made, mini loves to show affection. She doesn't know what a personal bubble is and will cover your entire body with slobbery kisses. She also loves to play and she really enjoys training. She is very food motivated and is always determined to master the next skill on the agenda. As of right now, her brother Milo is the only dog she is able to play with. Her fears take over and she gets a little guarded around the stranger dogs here at the shelter. Her progress has been slow but steady, so check back later for more updates! --- Mini has some new skills under her belt! She already loved to jump so we put those skills to the test. She is able to jump onto something with the cue "Up", balance herself or sit while she waits for a cue to "Jump" over to another target to balance on. She is also able to jump down whenever you ask with the cue "Off". Her targets are big and stable at the moment but her confidence is growing day by day while she practices her new fun game. Please apply to adopt at: http://www.pawsgh.org

Our public hours are Tuesday - Saturday 11 am - 4pm. Dog meets may be also scheduled on Sunday and Monday by appointment only. No appointment is needed to meet our cats during public hours.
Please note that appointments are highly recommended for dog meets due to limited staff availability, but we do accommodate walk-in visits whenever possible. Additionally, many of our dogs may be located off-site in foster homes and an appointment will be required to meet those pets. We do require a completed application prior to meeting pets in foster homes to preserve the valuable time of our foster families.

More about this shelter
PAWS finds new families for stray dogs and cats as well as owner surrendered pets. We also accept animals brought to us by concerned citizens and local animal control agencies and do our best to find them suitable homes. Our mission is to find homes and offer direct care for as many of these loveable pets as possible. PAWS attempts to prevent the birth of unwanted animals through education and spay/neuter programs.
PAWS of Grays Harbor is a strictly non-profit organization and we survive because of donations from our community. All of the animals we adopt out are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and treated for fleas. Sometimes, the animals we rescue require additional veterinary care. Without your donations, none of this would be possible. Thank you for your support, we couldn’t do it without you.
