Im a happy-go-lucky, goofy girl who just loves having fun. Whether its lounging on the couch with my favorite person, tossing my toys around, or going on adventures in the park, Im always ready for a good time! At home, Im my best selfrelaxed, playful, and always ready to put a smile on your face. I love long and short walks, zoomies, and of course, lots of cuddling! Ive got medium energy, so I enjoy staying active but can also chill out when its time to relax. One thing to note: Im a bit of an "aggressive snuggler!" I get so excited to be close to you that I cant always sit still, and I may jump or squirm onto your lap because I just cant contain my love. Im friendly with everyone I meet, including strangers, and Im good with other dogs, though I havent really initiated play yet. Im still learning the ropes and could use some help with training, but I already know how to sit! Im mostly housetrained with the occasional accident, and Im somewhat crate trained too. I thrive on routine, with long walks, playtime, and naps filling my day. Im a grazer when it comes to food, and tend to enjoy wet food over kibble. If youre looking for a playful, loving companion with a big personality, Im your girl! My foster guardian says: She really opens up and shows her true personality at home, shes relaxed and playful, and really enjoys putting a smile on your face. Likes: long; short walks, zoomies, and cuddling My ideal home: Id love to find an active family who will take me on lots of walks, play with me, and help me with my training. Additional adoption info
Adoption area is Washington, D.C area, including Northern Virginia and Maryland. All adoptions require a completed adoption application. Our adoption coordinators will contact you soon after reviewing the application. Our adoption fee is $450 to help off set the costs of rescuing dogs in need. All dogs go to their new homes spayed or neutered, up to date on all shots, wormed (although a 2nd worming may be required), started on heart worm and flea and tick preventative and sometimes microchipped.
Although we try to be as accurate as possible, Rural Dog Rescue cannot guarantee the breed or full-grown adult size of any of the dogs or puppies in its care. Because many of these dogs were found as strays or are the result of irresponsible, unplanned breeding, we do not know the dog's exact background and can only list breed and size by our best educated guess. If exact breed and size are important to you, please consider adopting a dog from a specific breed rescue. We want our dogs to be adopted by people who will love and care for them forever for who they are - no matter what breed and size they turn out to be!
