My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by a community member .

Why Luna might be the one for you:
Meet Luna! This sweet girl has learned the world around her isn't so scary and most people are nice. Luna will do best in a quiet home where all members of the family are old enough to read and appropriately respond to her body language. With a little patience, and some tasty treats, this sweet girl opens up and shows her true personality. Her true personality is friendly, mellow and loving. She wants to fit in with her people and will do what they want her to do so she is a valued family member. If you're looking for a dog that will love you with all her heart, Luna just may be the gal for you! If you will allow Luna to Blossom, you will be rewarded with soft beautiful looks, licks, kisses and head bunts asking for pets. We suspect that you will soon get a rollover from Luna as she asks for a belly rub or two. Contact us at the info below and we will arrange for you to meet sweet Luna

At SDHS:
Luna has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. She is now ready for her new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
