My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Juno!

She's a gorgeous 30 pound chocolate Border Collie puppy who's been living with a family who loves her dearly, but Juno and the original resident dog don't see eye to eye. Because Juno is the newer dog in the family, they're forced to find her a great forever home where she can thrive as the only dog in the house.

Juno is really smart! She's also incredibly beautiful and wildly snuggly with her people.

Because she's a Border Collie -- a breed that loves the outdoors -- she needs to go to a home with a backyard, with adopters who will make her think a little and work to give her enrichment training, and people who will love her as much as her current family does.

For more info and/or to apply to adopt Juno, send us an email at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.

Additional adoption info

First you must fill out an application which we will review. Then we will do a phone interview, reference check and finally a home visit before a dog is placed in your home. We ONLY adopt to homes where the dog is an indoor dog, part of the family and treated as such. We stress excellent nutrition, proper training and follow up with all our adopters.

We are probably have one of the more thorough and difficult adoption processes... and we love that people want to adopt and don't want to discourage adopters! So please, if you're in a hurry, or not an exceptional furever home - please try other rescues or a SHELTER is a great option too!

Adoption application
