My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Meeska and I was found in a box on the side of the road along with my brother, Mooska. I'm still a kitten so I enjoy playing hard, but I also love a good nap. I get along great with Mooska (except when he wants to wrestle and sits on me with his bigger body) but I've started letting him know I'm annoyed with him with a little growl- especially if he tries to take my favorite toys. I haven't really been around other cats or dogs or younger humans. I've always been kind of timid, so I usually prefer to sit back and observe until I get comfortable. But now I do like to play on my own and unless I'm hiding from Mooska I don't usually look for a safe space.

My favorite form of attention is a good face snuggle with my humans followed by belly rubs. My brother is way louder than I am, but I will give you a little meow or chirp when I want you to notice me. I love to run up with a chirp, wait for a face snuggle, then flop into the perfect position in the crook of your arm for a belly rub and lap nap. I really am the absolute sweetest and have the softest belly fur you will ever feel, so all the belly rubs will be welcomed!

I'm little so I'm still cautious and startle more easily so a quieter, calmer home might be nice, but I think with time I'd be okay in other environments as well. As a kitten, I think I'd still like to have a playmate of a similar age to wrestle, cuddle, and play with toys together.

I am fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for my age.

Come see me at the Petco in Stillwater located at 2080 Market Drive, Stillwater, MN 55082.

More about this rescue

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.
