My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dante is a one-year-old, 48-pound, friendly, energetic and playful, red and white male Siberian Husky pup with heterochromatic (one blue, one brown) eyes looking for a loving guardian.

Dante is wonderfully playful with other friendly dogs. He is also great with people of all ages. He’s lived with children as young as six in his previous home. He does jump up on people in an overly friendly manner, so he will benefit from additional training. He is housebroken, crate-trained, and sits on command – anything for a treat!

Dante has a strong prey drive and will hunt for bunnies, squirrels and birds on his walks. He has a lot of energy, so he’d make an excellent walking/running/hiking buddy. He also loves to play fetch, and sometimes he even brings back the ball.

Huskies are known escape artists, so walks on leash, or playing in a securely fenced in yard is a must.

He is extremely healthy, neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, bordetella and leptospirosis, microchipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative.

His adoption fee of $300 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue.

To meet and possibly adopt Dante, please fill out an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and follow up to meet him by e-mailing friendsofpetraits@gmail.com

He is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
