Meet Tigger, the brindle pibble mix! He arrived at the shelter as a stray and has been thriving in foster care. Tigger has demonstrated he is house-trained, loves to cuddle on the couch, and enjoys soft stuffed toys. He sometimes thinks blankets and clothes are toys too, but doesn’t chew on them. When playful, he can get a bit overstimulated and mouthy, so it’s best to redirect him with a toy. Tigger walks well on a leash, initially pulling but settling down. Tigger has been selective with dog friends, so it’s required for resident dogs to meet him at the shelter before adoption. He has been polite when seeing other dogs on walks, although eager to interact. He’s curious about squirrels and will pull towards them on walks. When left alone, he settles down nicely without getting into trouble. For his comfort, quieter dog areas are recommended, avoiding dog parks and high-traffic areas. If you`re looking for a cuddly companion, come fill out an application to meet Tigger today!
From 10/5 through 10/31, we are having a “Spooky Low Adoption Fees” promotion. All cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies will have a reduced adoption fee of $31, while small animals will have a fee of $13. No tricks, all treats!
Come on in to meet your new BFF today at 1001 Rodriguez Street, Santa Cruz from 11-6pm. All adoptions are first come, first serve in person at the Shelter, and must be completed before 4:45pm
