My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Merlyn!

This sweet boy was rescued after a flooded night in Miami. His rescuer found him in her backyard all wet and shivering. Merlyn is a healthy and active little kitten. He never meows but he communicates with his big soulful eyes and funny faces. He sleeps in the bed with his foster mom at night and naps in his favorite cozy spots during the day. He loves to play with other cats and kittens, but he also enjoys playing with all sorts of toys, feather, toys, stuffed animals, mouse toys, motorized fish. He isn’t scared of much. He is independent, easy going, confident, loving and playful. Merlyn also enjoys eating both wet and dry food.He isn’t big enough to use the cat wall but he has used the cat wheel when motivated by toys and treats. He has a great personality that’s both entertaining and easy going. He has been a total joy to have around since the moment he was found and would be a great addition to any home.

Merlyn is now ready for pre-adoption as he's expected to complete his vetting by September 10th. If you would like to learn more about him, please email us at littlebeanshoperescue@gmail.com or apply here:

More about this rescue

We are a rescue organization made up of 3 members and a few volunteers who started rescuing cats at the beginning of 2022. We rescue all ages, colors , breeds, and sizes of cats, from strays to the ones losing their homes. Our members are located in the counties of Miami-Dade and Broward, Florida. Our goal is to save as many cats as possible and give them a chance at a forever home. Last year, we saved over 100 cats, some we adopted out ourselves and some went to other rescues. We might be a small group, but every day we move mountains to help and save as many cats as we can, even when our resources aren’t the most plenty, because every cat deserves a chance at a loving home. Besides rescuing, we also invest our time in TNR initiatives as this is a sure way of helping with the feline crisis over population.
