Meet Oso. This little 20-pound Gem came into foster care because the shelter was too stressful for him, and he wasn't having it. After being brought into a home he quickly let us know that a crate was not for him, and he cannot handle confinement! So, he was left free range from the beginning and he did not disappoint! This little guy is house trained and has a sweet personality and gets along with dogs his size. Oso can be energetic, playful and seeks affection and attention. Oso will snuggle with you in bed and on the sofa, and although he likes to have his own bed, he prefers to snuggle next to his human. When Oso is inside, he likes sometimes to be engaged in play time, and likes to chew on bones and toys. Oso is a chill sweet dog, and he would rather be with other chill dogs that are not alpha. Oso likes a couple short walks a day around the block and would like to be in a house with a fenced yard where he can wander around, do his business and return next to his human. Oso is PERFECT and very easy on the leash and does not react when sees other dogs. At the beginning Oso can be shy and might show a little bit of stress in a new environment, so it will take him a couple of days to warm up, but between us, the best way to win him over is by sharing the sporadic table scraps or dog treats with him. He has a good appetite and likes almost EVERYTHING, including but not limited to watermelon, blueberries, bananas or cucumbers. The little guy is a foodie, and food is his number ONE weakness. Oso needs to be fed by himself if you have other dogs. Oso has not been tested with cats, bigger dogs or children. This little fella would do great with a person who enjoys a fun, sweet and playful and affectionate small dog. He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention. He is already microchipped and neutered. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
