Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I picked up Miley from DAS (Dallas Animal Shelter) on her euthanasia date and transported to an awesome emergency foster in Austin. She's been a dream girl in foster with zero behavioral issues or accidents. Her ideal home is one with a playful dog, a home with a yard, a family or adopter who loves going on walks, spending time outdoors and enjoys dog hugs and kisses. Adopter would commit to caring for Miley for the remainder of her days.
Current Status: 8/19/24
Miley was pulled from her foster family by a rescue (will remain nameless) last week and adopted out to a family that was not properly vetted. This family continues to contact the previous foster with threats of taking her to a shelter because she "barks at sirens at night." They've shared with the foster they do not allow her to sleep AT ALL during the day, keeping her up until she's delirious in efforts to keep her quiet. This is dangerous and cruel.
Her foster never experienced any barking issues with Miley and encourages the family to allow her to rest, being in a new home with strangers in a city setting can be scary. We have convinced the family to allow us to re-home her and we will not be asking the previous rescue to help ever again.
Info:
- Miley is around one year old, had puppies young on the streets of Dallas
- Fixed, fully vaccinated, heart worm negative, healthy
- Loves dogs, kids, wants to be friends with cats
- House & kennel trained (indoor dog)
- Walks well on leash
- Very affectionate, loves to play & cuddle
If you or any trusted friends & family are interested in meeting Miley and opening your home to her, she's incredibly special, so loving, deserving and in need of our help. Let's not let this sweet girl's spirit and trust be broken.
