Sampson is 8 years old. His human mom had an aneurysm and survived, but is no longer able to care for a dog. He is a purebred collie, but we did not get the papers. His hair can grow longer but we have been keeping it short more for his comfort than to control shedding. His shedding is mild to moderate not too bad.
We have been taking care of him for over a year, but with our children getting older and developing more needs it is becoming more difficult to also take care of the dog.
Sampson is a very calm dog. On walks he doesn’t tug on the lease, at home he lies down. He mostly ignores our cat, but has accepted cuddles from cats in the past home. He is kind to our dog, to dogs on walks, and the two dogs he used to live with.
His herding instincts manifest in a routine patrol of the house. He walks from room to room and looks around for a bit then leaves.
