My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Piggy may have had a rough start in life, but you'd never know it from her loving nature. Named for the adorable snore that sounds like an oink, this charming mutt has a beautiful blend of brown and black fur that's as unique as her personality. Despite not knowing much about her history, Piggy has shown that she has nothing but love to give. She's happiest when she's snuggled up in your lap, soaking up all the affection you can offer. Piggy has been an absolute sweetheart around children, especially her foster family's eight-month-old son. She adores him, showering him with kisses and joining in on tummy time fun.

Piggy is also crate-trained and potty-trained, making her an easy addition to your home. She sleeps soundly in her kennel at night, and with just a soft bed, she'll happily settle in. Piggy enjoys being outdoors and going for walks, though she's still learning how to be the perfect leash walker. While Piggy is a sweetheart with humans, she doesn't do very well with cats. If you have other dogs, it's best to introduce them slowly, as Piggy can get very excited when meeting new furry friends. Sometimes, her enthusiasm can be a bit overwhelming for other dogs, but she means no harm-she's just looking for companionship.

Piggy is searching for a forever home where she can be the center of attention. All she asks is that you won't abandon her-she's ready to give her whole heart.

More about this rescue

Bark About It Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit foster-based dog rescue. Our mission is to save dogs from urgent situations such as euthanasia lists, overcrowded shelters, and homelessness as well as to educate the public on the importance of spay and neuter. Our rescue is based in Pennsylvania, but we rescue dogs all over. Additionally to urgent cases, we also focus on helping long term shelter stay dogs.
