My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Echo!

Sweet as pie, this fella will melt your heart like sugar on a hot day! Echo is just bursting with love and wants nothing more than to show you just how much he loves you. He will lean into you, and fully slide down your body before flopping himself onto his back for belly rubs.

Echo is a smart boy, tackling any trick you toss at his with ease, making sure to smell out every morsel of cookie you may have! He is so food motivated, he thrives with positive reinforcement based training and will impress you with his skill and smarts! He is going to be such a smart and well trained boy with consistency and rewards!

Echo loves his yard time, and is going to be seeking a home that can offer him lots of space to get his zoomies out, and many opportunities to burn some of it off! His people should be familiar with his breeds and what comes with the territory, and understand that he has a lot of energy and motivation! This dog likes to go go go! He can be quite vocal, but this does come with the breed and is to be expected!!

If you're all about hounds and know just what they require in a home and guardian, Echo is the dog for you! Apply below!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

    Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

    Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

    Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

    1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

    2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

    3. Freedom from distress

    4. Freedom from discomfort

    5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
