My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cora is a happy senior gal who says age is nothing but a number! In fact, no one told this playful pooch that she’s a bit of a golden girl- she has plenty of pep in her step! Here’s what we’ve learned about Cora during her time in a loving foster home:

- She is housetrained and uses a doggie door
- She does great when left home alone
- She does well with another resident dog and plays nicely with him
- She knows ‘sit’ and ‘stay’ and `down` and is eager to please her people
- She is an absolute cuddle bug
- She enjoys playing with a ball
- She has a moderate activity level and is just happy doing whatever you’re doing
- She has the best wiggle butt!
- She is very loving and overall very mellow
- She is incredibly gentle when taking treats
- She loves car rides
- She walks nicely on leash

“Cora loves to be by your side, whether it is when you are walking, sitting, playing ball, laying down…when she is super happy, she will wiggle the entire back half of her body! She LOVES to cuddle! An ideal home for her would be one where she gets plenty of love and affection. She would love nothing more than to be around her person or people all the time. She is SO happy when I get home from work… She wants to do the right thing for her person/people. It seems like she feels it is important to do her best and make her “pack” happy.”

Here`s what some of Cora’s friends at the shelter have said:

“Cora is extremely friendly and easy to handle. She’s a cute little gal with a waggly butt; she’s outgoing and loves getting affection from us.”

“I met Cora today and what a gem she is! She’s friendly, social, and incredibly sweet. Once I started talking to her and petting her, her tail never stopped wagging. This girl definitely appreciates human companionship. She was super easy to leash up and walk with no reaction to other dogs other than curiosity. She follows directions well and keeps perfect pace with her handler. And I was extremely surprised at the amount of energy and spunk she has! You would never guess she is a senior - she has the pep of a dog half her age! She enjoyed exploring the play yard but would check in with me often to make sure I was still with her. Everything about this cute gal is enjoyable!”

Cora has shared her shelter kennel politely and has been social, tolerant, an easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She is looking for a home without cats or other small pets. P
