Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Yukon and Tahoe are siblings and are about 3 months old and each weigh about 17 pounds. They came from a very rural shelter. We truly have no idea what breed they are. They are definitely a cross between many breeds - maybe some retriever, some water dog, some lab, some shepherd - but all are only a guess.
No matter what they are they are definitely the embodiment of pure love and joy. Both boys have been raised in a foster home with other dogs - both smaller and larger, old and young and LOVE all of them The love to romps and play but are always ready for a snuggle and some belly rubs.
The are woking on house training and know how to use the doggy door to go in a nd out of the house, but will need continued work with it.
They will go the doggy pool outside and seem to enjoy the water. Tahoe LOVES the water and will chase the water as it comes out of the hose. He will just lay in the pool and chill sometimes.
They are looking for a home where they will have another playmate - another dog or two - a few kids maybe to play with.
Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
