NOTE: The distinction 'guardian' is used to refer to the dogs' deceased guardian's sister, who is attempting to rehome them.
Hobie is bonded with Chelsea, and their guardian would love to see them rehomed together; however, she realizes that prospect might be realistic for any given individual or family. Hobie is 8yo, weighs 85lbs, is intact, is up to date on his vaccines, and is microchipped. Since Hobie's/Chelsea's caretaker is home during the day, they are not home alone; he has the run of the house. Hobie dislikes/fears thunderstorms and fireworks. Hobie sleeps on the floor in his caretaker's room at night. Hobie does very well during car rides.
Hobie's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him:
"My brother passed away 2 years ago. His roommate and care taker still lives in his house and takes care of both dogs. Unfortunately, the house has gone into foreclosure and the roommate has to find another place to live. He's on disability and food stamps so I doubt very much he will find a place where he can take both dogs."
Hobie's guardian states the following regarding children: Although Hobie hasn't lived with children, his guardian recommends his living with children. It is unknown how Hobie reacts to children outside the home.
Hobie's guardian states the following regarding dogs: Since Hobie lives with his canine sister, Chelsea, his guardian recommends his living with dogs. It is unknown how Hobie reacts to dogs outside the home.
Hobie's guardian states the following regarding cats: Since Hobie lives with a cat, his guardian recommends his living with cats, stating "Ignores them for the most part. They currently have a cat in the house now and all is good".
Hobie's guardian describes his as:

Hobie's guardian describes his ideal future home: "My brother's house has approximately 2 acres of which most is fenced in so the dogs could run. They loved to swim in the pool. They are older now and have slowed down. I think the dogs spend most of the time on the deck. The current caretaker plays ball with Hobie and Chelsea just rolls in the grass."
