My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR Welcomes MILA into the safety of the rescue!!

THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN MARYLAND & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT

**************
Happy Holidays! My name is Mila and I am a beautiful dark sable 2yr female German Shepherd. I am currently at a refresher course with Mason Dixon K9 in Maryland! Once I finish my training, I will be available for transport. Don't wait, get your application in asap!

Be sure to check out Mason Dixon K9 on Facebook for videos & picture updates of me. Don't you want to adopt a well trained young lady?!

Quick Facts:
Age - 2yrs old
Home - ideally a home with a fenced in yard, no apartment or condo
Kids - Would do better with teenagers, no little kids
Dogs - Good with large males
Cats - NO cats
Training - ongoing obedience training to bond with new owner

1. I came to the rescue months ago and since all of my babies have been adopted I've been waiting for my turn.

2. I'm an athletic gal; I would love to go on runs, hikes, swimming, or grand adventures. I also love other puppers & having a playmate to go do outdoorsy things with.

3. Even tho I am athletic and outdoorsy, I do love the couch-princess lifestyle. I love lounging in front of a cool fan. If you keep your thermostat above 75 degrees, swipe left.

4. Some of my favorite activities include working on my tan in the pool, reading juicy rom-com books, cuddling up on the couch to watch action movies, and I love trying new cuisines.

5. If you are looking for an independent gal, one who has her 'ish' together, house trained, always down for adventures or cuddles, and will love you for eternity - I'm your gal!

More about this rescue

Imminent Danger German Shepherd Rescue started in 2011 rescuing German Shepherds and High Content Mixes from the Imminent Danger where they were sitting on Death Row in High Kill Animal Control Facilities in TN, NC, SC,KY, VA, GA & AL.Over 1000 Dogs lives have been spared and we've never worked so hard in our lives to save these wonderful kids. Our process from saving these kids includes 30 years of experience in working breed dogs. We conduct Safer Tests with all dogs to determine the abilities of the dogs so that we can match the right dog to the right family. We do not shove our dogs out the door. We do multiple videos of the dogs as well to our potential adopters. We disclose all positive and negative behavior traits so our adopters can work on any training the dog may need. IDGSR starts the rehabilitation and training with these wonderful kids and our adopters are part of the team of folks who help to ensure these kids will never suffer another day of hardship in their lives again. IDGSR will not take Aggressive Dogs into the Rescue.
If you have ever loved a German Shepherd then you will know where our hearts are to save these dogs from a certain death. It is our goal to save more but we need wonderful qualified families who want to save a life and welcome a new family member. We continue the work with our adopters even after adoption, we help with training and advice and counsel. IDGSR's staff look forward to hearing from you. Help us to find your new devoted and loyal best friend.
