My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet June!

A delightful eleven-year-old Domestic Short Hair from Burlingame, CA, whose soft brown tabby coat is as warm and inviting as her personality. This lovely lady is the definition of a cozy companion, perfectly content to bask in the comfort of an indoor life. Shy at first, June quickly blossoms into a devoted friend who knows every nook and cranny of her home’s best lounging spots. Whether it's a sunny windowsill, a plush couch, or your lap, she’ll find her perfect perch and settle in for some serious relaxation!

June is a chatterbox with a voice as sweet as her purrs, which you'll hear often as she makes it clear when she’s ready for some affection. She’s the type of cat who loves to be part of your daily routine, following you around, sharing her thoughts, and letting you know when it’s time for some attention—usually in the form of a good cuddle or a long brushing session. And when it comes to playtime, June’s eyes light up at the sight of lasers and stick toys, and she’s always eager for a good chase!

One of June's most endearing quirks is her habit of sleeping on her back, belly up and totally relaxed—just one of the many ways she shows how comfortable and trusting she is in her home. Her playful side comes out with her love for scratching posts, tall cat trees, and especially watching birds from a comfy perch by the window. June is a large and loving cat, weighing in at a solid fourteen pounds, all of it wrapped in a gorgeous tabby coat that’s just begging to be petted!

Though June is friendly with dogs, she appreciates a slow introduction to ensure a smooth and stress-free relationship. While she isn’t particularly fond of other cats outside of her household, June shares a special bond with her feline companion, Gatsby. They’ve grown up together and would love to continue their journey side by side, though June is also ready to embrace a new chapter if adopted separately.

Are you ready to invite this charming, chatty, and utterly lovable lady into your life? June is ready to find her new family—could it be you?

If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will fill your days with purrs and your evenings with cuddles, June is waiting to meet you! Reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com and start your new adventure together!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our ultimate goal is to unite as many animals with loving pet parents as possible, so we strive to make it easy to adopt a dog or cat you have fallen in love with. All we ask is that you fill out an adoption application so that we have all the information we need to determine that you'll be able to provide a safe and compassionate home to one of our rescued pets. Once approved, all you need to do is sign our adoption agreement form and provide an adoption donation so that we can continue to save more animals every day and unite them with families just like yours.
