Foster cat's bio for their adoption profile: Gertrude, also known as Gertie, is a very quiet girl with a sweet temperament. Once she is comfortable with you, she will snuggle for hours on end. She will aggressively rub on anything that you put in front of her and LOVES forehead kisses.

She was found abandoned with a harness on which caused her to have very severe wounds under her arms. She was also extremely emaciated. Over the past 3 months, she has doubled her weight and her wounds are looking much better. She still has a long road of healing ahead and will likely have some special scars for the rest of her life.

You wouldn't know that she has had a rough start. Throughout her many bandage changes and wound treatments, she has maintained a positive attitude (as long as there are creamy treats involved)! She can be fearful when meeting new people. She does best in quiet environments with lots of food motivation and pets.
